Running your corrugator at maximum speed is essential for profitability, but pushing too fast can lead to quality defects. Here's how to find the optimal balance for your operation.
1. Adhesive setting time—slower adhesives require more dwell time
2. Paper quality—recycled papers may need slower speeds
3. Equipment condition—worn rolls and gaps reduce maximum speed
4. Humidity conditions—high humidity slows drying
Traditional adhesives require heat and time to set. Instant-setting adhesives bond at room temperature in 1-2 seconds, allowing speeds up to 305 m/min on compatible equipment.
